I just signed up for the free apikey.

Question: If my app is used by more than 500 users does this mean some users will not be able to access Underground weather because of the 500 calls per day limit?

You will start to use raindrops if you go over 500. Run out of raindrops and they key is turned off automatically.

Sorry don't know what raindrop is.

can you please give me a straight answer? As example if my app is installed on 5000 devices so for the free apikey only 500 users can access the weather per day. Is this correct? thx

raindrops are WU's way over forgiving mistakes for going over.
you start with 3 raindrops.
If you go over you lose a raindrop.
if you go over and have no raindrops you have your key shut off.
you get another raindrop once a week.

You get 500 accesses a day. If 500 users access it once or one user accesses it 500 times, makes no difference.
