NEWBIE!!! (don't you hate that?)

I need really basic info (temp and wind) in a C# app I'm writing for windows phone 8. I'm a pretty decent programmer, but I'm new to the "small world". I have been in IBM big iron assembler for 30 years ( YES, i'm old). Anybody have the basics for me?

http://www.stackoverflow.com for specific programming questions, Google for programming tutorials.

This is not what you're looking for, it is a community to discuss specifics of the Weather Underground API. Suffice it to say you'll need to learn to interface either JSON or XML with the programming/scripting language of your choice, no matter how poor of a choice I feel you are making with m$ and a platform nobody has/is/will be using.

Nope, I do web application development to ensure that I can deploy cross-platform. This, to me, is the best choice as you don't have to learn three different languages to make an app that everyone can use. I'd actually buy an M$ phone before I bought an iPhone, or any apple product, though just for the record :)
