Does changing API plan while in developer mode do anything?

I'm trying to figure out which plan I'm going to need (Stratus, Cumulus or Anvil). I've set up my app, which pulls all the information I need, including an animated radar image.

No matter which of the three plans I select, the radar is returned properly and animates, which leads me to believe that I only need the Stratus Plan. However, in the what's included list, it would appear I at least need the Cumulus plan.

I'm currently using the Developer level, so I'm wondering: when my app goes live and I need to upgrade to the Drizzle level, will my radar stop working on the Stratus plan?

Thanks for the help.
Matt.

Your API key stays the same ID, so you can move up and down the plans without needing to change keys. You're allowed access to features not in your plan at the Developer level, meaning you can hit the radar 500 times per day or less than 10 times in a minute, even if you're not paying for it at that level. If you go over you'll get an overage alert email and a raindrop will be subtracted from your account.

That makes sense, thanks.
