Forecast model calculation update times?

To my knowledge GFS model at NOAA is computed 4 times a day at 00 UTC, 06 UTC, 12 UTC, and 18 UTC.
I suspect that you use a combination of different models.

My question is what are the times during the day that I can expect the forecast data did change on your system?

The motive behind this is to know when to query your API for new forecast and when to just return cached data that I have on my server(that sits as a proxy between my clients and your server)

We run our own forecast model ensemble and it updates about every 6 hours per location. It does not update at the same time for all locations, but each location is about 6 hours. You could cache the forecast for 4 or 6 hours and be safe.
