Case #1624384. Resolved. Sort of.  Thanks, George!

FTP works, but only to 52.36.136.128 and had to recreate rickrichCAM3 because rickrichCAM1 would FTP the image and throw it away!

The end result for my script Is:

...
# -n: login/password in .netrc
# source is $image_gc
# destination is /image.jpg
# curl -s -n -T $image_gc ftp://webcam.wunderground.com/image.jpg
# 2 out of 3 IP addresses don't work! Use 52.36.136.128 only!
curl -s -n -T $image_gc ftp://52.36.136.128/image.jpg

Good morning,
What do you mean by "had to recreate rickrichCAM3".  It appears now that if you delete a webcam and create a new one, it will automatically assign the next sequential number (e.g. xxxxxxCAM4, xxxxxxCAM5, etc.)

I used to use rickrichCAM1 for ten years plus: https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/webcam/rickrich/1/2018-1-1

But with the new password, rickrichCAM1 after the FTP it just threw away the data, image.jpg.

I had to re-create rickrichCAM3.  E.g. delete rickrichCAM1, create rickrickCAM3.  rickrichCAM2 was URL which didn't work as well.

Very good.   Thanks.  Still trying to get things working.   By using the suggested IP rather than the URL, It recently got to the point that the image would show on the wundermap, but nowhere else, nor on my PWS page.  I have since deleted the camera, and re-added it.   Now, I am back to the FTP login failure.   Ugh.

Use the "Upload Key " as the password.  Use 52.36.136.128 as the target for your FTP session.

Test with https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/<your pws> , go down to "Associated webcam " and see if that works.

Did that.  It must be that it takes "x minutes" for things to link up.  I think I am making progress....it is at least now showing on my PWS page (KMIMOUNT42), and the wundermap.  Guess we'll see if it starts appearing on the cam page itself (currently loads as a blank page), and remains stable.

Thanks to you and the others' help.   Most progress I've made in months.   :)

I can confirm this does work.  You need to go to my devices and add a webcam. It will give you a key. Use this key as your password in the camera ftp network setting.  Use the above ftp://52.36.136.128/
address. Make sure you use the same username*CAM as was assigned under the new device assignment.  My images now post to my wunderground site as they are suppose to. Thanks for the tip.  I was really pulling out my hair.  Oh, yes I then went back to my devices and deleted the old ones that no longer work.
