I am not getting a response when trying to ping rtupdate.wunderground.com or any of the IPs from the current DNS results. Are these servers being altered? My Weather Station is very sad it has no one to talk too.

also, don't use an IP address.  It is almost guaranteed to stop working as AWS changes their ips

I've been having the same issue for years with the rtupdate.wunderground.com, so I ping the address, get an IP address and use that to update with, as you say it changes every few weeks and I have to do it again....

However now I can't even get an IP address and my weather station doesn't seem to be able to connect with rtupdate.wunderground.com in the server IP Hostname....  Hope you can help?

Lee, you can't ping our upload server, it doesn't respond to it.  Use nslookup instead.

Hi Victoria, Thanks for replying...

I'm using a Aercus Instruments weathersleuth IP data logger.... it's on the latest software.

However I've handed it over my more techi husband, who reset the device back to factory install, and changed our internet router so it always returns the right address and that seems to have solved the problem.... however my ageing weather station is still throwing out a temperature which is way off so probably time to think of something new anyway.... many thanks again, hopefully it's sorted for now.
