Hourly forecast doesn't match current temperature

I've noticed on quite a few occasions there will be a big difference between the hourly temperature forecast and the current temperature. E.g. It's currently 30 degrees at 930am, and at 10am it's 23, and 11am is 27, and then noon is 30 degrees.

Is there a way to improve this? Is it a matter of the hourly forecast not being updated very often?

Any insight or help appreciated. Thanks, Ben

Just another example in case it's helpful:

At 930pm Mountain Time last night, Denver, CO showed the current temperature as 27 degrees F but the hourly forecast for 10pm being 18 degrees F.

At 1017pm, the current temperature for Denver, CO, was 26 degrees F.

I've been using this service for a few days and found that there is a lot of discrepancies between the forecast and 10 day hourly / hourly, observe the following set:

10-12-2016 31(max) 17(min)

00:00 21 01:00 20 02:00 20 03:00 19 04:00 19 05:00 20 06:00 22 07:00 24 08:00 26 09:00 28 10:00 29 11:00 29 12:00 30 13:00 3014:00 29 15:00 28 16:00 28 17:00 26 18:00 24 19:00 23 20:00 22 21:00 21 22:00 21 23:00 20

I am rather going to look for better alternative services.

Why is there no feedback from WU staff here? With all due respect, our company decided on using WU's weather forecasts for our upcoming service where weather data is VERY important. Based on WU's website data (which is really good - credit where it is due) we were very happy with choosing WU as our primary weather data provider; however, seeing so many issues with the API results is mind boggling! And many of the issues are continuing for over 4 years ago..!!! Please, someone from WU, please help....

I don't see this as a bug as I see such in all weather sites I hit. Even NOAA where every US based weather site gets there information. A forecast is just an estimate/what it is believed to be at a time. How it is determined is beyond me. The current is what it really is.  Kind of like if you are needing to drive to some city. It is estimated (the forecast says it will take you 4 hrs) to take you 4 hours but along the way you get a flat tire. Currently, it will take you 5 hours now, though the forecast said 4 hrs. Maybe not the best analogy but this is how I see it.
