Hourly Historical API Calls? Does a method exist?

I'm new to the API and wanted to know (and I can't seem to find anything in the docs) on how to pull historical hourly data from the API. I've used the "historical" method...but this seems to just return summary data. Is this not here? Or am I missing something?

The history data does have hourly observations, below the daily summary

I see what was throwing me off, I was under the impression that each “METAR” section was indicating summary data for each different station in the area. I see now that they are all the same (and what is changing is the time). Thank you for clarifying.

With that in mind, what would the operation be for calling hourly historical data for a particular station (PWS or airport) rather than specifying by city (which seems to take the closest station to the general area specified).

What I’m trying to get to is something akin to the comma separated export you have available at the station level via the regular UI (but through the API):

Is this type of operation possible? Where a specific station is passed and hourly historical data is returned?

Am I still not getting it? Thanks for your help/patience....as you can see we're new at this.

Did this question ever get answered? I'm trying to get hour-by-hour temp history from a specific station too.

You can -- just do the call normally, and have /q/pws:(STATION ID) at the end, like this:
