How fast is the response time when calling the API? Is it under 100ms?

We're looking at using the API in an application that has some significant time restraints in executing our logic. I'm looking for any reference to the response time after a call is made to the Weather Underground API.

Hello,

The response time is very dependent on the type of request.

What kind of information are you trying to get in under 0.10 seconds?

Thanks,
John

I would like to get the temperature and maybe the current condition for a lat/long. Can I only request those variables rather then the whole response to help speed up the time?

For that call, I get averages around 130 ms. But that was end to end using curl to make the call.

The bottom-line: we're close. You should sign up a free key and see what results you get.

BTW, my url looks like:

/api/{key}/geolookup/conditions/q/IA/Cedar_Rapids.json"

Thanks,
John
