Incorrect Current Conditions

The current conditions seem to be incorrect over the last few days. I am grabbing four cities and it's happening to all of them. For example, yesterday current conditions for Albany, NY were reporting "Clear" when it was raining. It's reporting "Clear" now when it is overcast. The error is occurring on the WU site too, not just API.

Could you send us a few URLs where this is happening?

Hi Tim, I am unable to do that... the data is on an internal site. I uploaded an image of Albany, NY current conditions on WU site from today... The XML file I'm getting via the API says the same. It saying clear, but in METAR data it says light rain. Icons have been the same this whole week so far...

Thanks, that image is a great example.  Could you send me the exact API call you are making?  remove the key when you post in here

It's also happening with three other cities I'm calling using same API call as above, but just replacing zip at end with the following... Suffern, NY (10901)... Buffalo, NY (14225) and Syracuse , NY (13088).

Hey Tim, would you be able to provide me with an update on my issue. The icon continues to be incorrect/stuck on website and APIs that I'm calling. Customer complaints on my end are starting to trickle in and I would like to provide them with some type of answer. Greatly appreciated. -Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your patience.  We isolated a bug that was exposing an experimental conditions loader (and also a bug in the loader)

these issues have been resolved, and you should start to see conditions returning correctly within 30 minutes.

Thanks for the feedback, we appreciate bug reports like this as sometimes they are hard for us to uncover ourselves.

OK.. Great!! Thank you very much for your assistance, Tim. Conditions have returned.

Also, one more thing I noticed starting this afternoon was the forecast low temperatures were missing in ten day forecast (the XML element is blank).

Thanks,
this is an issue with bestfct=0
I will get that fixed asap, but you can remove the error by not adding that parameter

OK.. Thank you again, Tim!! Funny, I was doing some testing with that today. I saw that it wasn't occurring when I removed that parameter and I was going to alert you, but you beat me to it.

Unless you are REALLY itching to match the NWS forecasts, I would recommend leaving that parameter off

Hi Tim

I'm having a similar issue. The other day the site reported snow in Boston, which was actually falling as I saw in other services and webcams (see screenshot below)

But the report I was getting from http://api.wunderground.com didn't report any snow:

Hi.
Sorry for raising so old thread, but I have nearly same problem.
Conditions response says that current temperature is 27.5C, while thermometer behind my window shows just 20C and your site is in agreement with one.
So, this is the part of response from http://api.wunderground.com/api/<my_api_key>/conditions/q/UA/Kyiv.json :

As I can see, the wind is also incorrect, at least it's direction.

Can I do something with it?

UPD: Hmm... Few hours left and now all looking OK.
