My new PWS shows as offline

I have installed my new weather station (Acu-rite 5-in-1 sensor with Acu-Rite Access). I can see the data if I go to the Acu-Rite server so I know the station is working and transmitting via Acu-Rite Access. The PWS is marked as shared in my Acu-rite profile with the station ID that is in my Weather Underground profile/Device. However, I can not use that station ID in the WU API as it is marked as off-line.  How do I make it on-Line?

Not 100% sure how the Acu-Rite system works, but sometimes people get their WU password confused with their PWS key.

Usually you need to enter the WU Station ID and then their Station key to submit data.  The key can be found by logging on to WU and selecting 'My Devices' under profile.

Thanks, Tom.  I don't see any place on the Acu-Rite system to enter the WU Device key so I don't think that's the problem

WU won't accept data without the key.  I will dig a little deeper into it.

Here is where some manufactures get confused.   The directions say password, but what is needed is the key.

Also they do not want you to copy and paste it so you need to write it down before starting.

You were correct.  the Acurite instructions are very misleading.  I spoke with Acurite support and they fixed the issue for me.  Thanks

This is helpful, but I have the same problem with an Ambient PWS. And I'm not sure where to go to fix it. Thanks.

it needs to be the station id and key entered in the device, not the WU password as noted

once it is entered correctly on the device you still have to wait a half hour to let it create your page for the station and update, etc

I installed my Ambient WS-2000 yesterday and it connects perfectly with Ambient Weather but continues to show offline at Wunderground.  I have entered my Station ID and Station Key but still can't figure out why it won't show up.

Same here with my WS-2902A  What's odd is that under the Manage Devices page it is shows as Offline. The id and key are correct.  When I select my station and go to the station summary screen it shows as Online (update NaN second ago) but there is no data.  It is transmitting data to the Ambient site.

My unit is showing up fine on both Ambientweather and weathercloud, but I can't even get logged in to Wunderground, let alone see if my station is listed. I get this message when I attempt login: We recently upgraded our systems. If you face any issues logging in, please use the Forgot Password link below to reset your password. Apologies for the inconvenience.
When I use the forgot password link, the link hangs. Guess 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

Yes.  Did learn that I have two accounts that is contributing to the problem.

Arrghh. Having the same issue. I've had the station installed and reporting to WU for several months, and just stopped reporting in the last few days.  it says Offline in Manage Devices, but Online (and last updated 2,020 years ago! :-) ) in the station summary. If you see this, please let me know if you ever figured out what happened or what you did to fix it.

Hi, Mine started working. I did zip/zero/nada to fix it. This seems to be a common problem.

So you entered zeros in the zip code box on your WU sign in/setup page?

Are you being serious? The answer is no. I did nothing: didn't enter anything at all. There was nothing that was incorrect. I had been signed-up/set-up on Ambient Weather AND on WU for months, and it had been working just fine. I thought my post was very clear.

I am having similar problem with Lacrosse S84060. I recently switched internet providers. It is connected to Lacrosse view app, but when I login to WU, it shows OFFLINE.
