need help with pressure values

Hi all.  I’m new here and  not a weather expert, so I’m probably asking a newbie questions, but here goes...

First what type of pressure readings are provided by the conditions endpoint that are reported in pressure_mb and  pressure_in?  I’ve been reading terms like standard pressure, absolute pressure, altitude and mean sea level pressure at various sites when trying to figure out the particular calculations I’m working on.  But which one is reported by the WU api?

And secondly any feedback on what I’m trying to accomplish would be greatly appreciated.  I’m trying to calculate the boiling point of water from my mobile device.   I need this as a baseline for further calculations.   As a programmer I can handle the APIs and math. I’ve all ready got the device lat/lon, I have the elevation at the device by doing google api query, I know the elevation variation from my point to the weather observation stations reported lat/lon and elevation.  But understanding this pressure thing with all the terms available has me a little befuddled.

I found what looks to be a pretty authoritative calculation here and I know how to implement it, but I don’t know what pressure value I have for starts.   And would love any feed back as to whether this calculation looks good to any of you.   I realize this later might be something to ask of a chemist rather than a meteorologist, but heck I’m neither.

Thanks in advance.
