On https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/pws/  ,,, I see no data and the red-dot that I am offline.

Whereas on https://www.wunderground.com/member/devices ,,, I see I AM online, a Green-Dot

I have Davis set to upload to WU and that was working for yesterday the 29th .... then today I see no data getting from Davis to WU ..the Davis WeatherLink page has my VERY current data, all day, so far.

Ideas please?

An SSL certificate problem has been going on since around 23:00 UTC on the 29th, WU are working on it. Hopefully they'll get it fixed soon.
Ref. the SSL Certificate Error thread.

Hey Tim, I continue to see occasional certificate errors:

hostname 'rtupdate.wunderground.com' doesn't match either of '*.prod-pws-ng-546567-997b58a668d15d562a6bed58ea7c5f9e-0000.us-south.containers.appdomain.cloud', 'prod-pws-ng-546567-997b58a668d15d562a6bed58ea7c5f9e-0000.us-south.containers.appdomain.cloud', 'prod-pws-ng-546567.us-south.containers.appdomain.cloud'

Perhaps a DNS issue?

My station is still showing as off-line for past 2 days.    Data on Weatherlink Bulletin is being updates, so problem appears to be between WU and Davis.   Normal WUG data is fine, just WunderStation seems to be affected.

I believe the WunderStation app is dead. It's been withdrawn from the app store. Probably a result of the API change. The 5.x Wundertgound app has stopped functioning as well.

I upload using an Arduino.
My weather stations are still sending data streams to wunderground as in the past but the upload is not being accepted or displayed on the Weather Underground website and stations show off line.
Has there been a change in the expected protocol? This problem started on the 29th Jan. Can someone suggest a fix?

Yeah, they changed something.  I was using a variation of the common examples for sending data to WU with an Arduino.  I changed libraries and rewrote my data send routine, and it is working again now.

Sure.

Basically, I went from this:
#include <WiFiClient.h>

  WiFiClient client;                                                      // connect to Weather Underground
  if (!client.connect("rtupdate.wunderground.com", 80)) {
WUresponse = "Connection Failed"; }

client.print("GET /weatherstation/updateweatherstation.php?");
client.print(ID, password, and all the weather data);
client.println("/ HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: host:port\r\nConnection: close\r\n\r\n");

To this:
 #include <ESP8266HTTPClient.h>
 HTTPClient http;
 http.begin("http://rtupdate.wunderground.com/weatherstation/updateweatherstation.php?"; + ID, password, and all the weather data);
 int httpCode = http.GET();
 if(httpCode == HTTP_CODE_OK) {
    String response = http.getString();
   }
  http.end();

Of course, there is more to it, but this should get you far enough to get there.

I have a AcuRite pro weather station that only gives basic option of sending data to WU.  The only options I have are station ID and KEY.  Since Jan 29 @ 2300 my device has been offline.  I have reset it.  I changed the station id and key to a new one and tested at different location, no different.  still offline.  what can we do to resolve this?

I am uploading to WU via an Arduino and GPRS cell phone network from here in the UK. Data stream protocol is correct. No data showing on WU site. If I upload the same data stream thru a browser WU accepts and displays correctly! Can anyone offer help? WU are you listening?

I am using an Arduino too.  I had to change the way I was doing the GET to get it working again after the 29th.

Basically, I went from this:
#include <ESP8266WebServer.h>

  WiFiClient client;                                                      // connect to Weather Underground
  if (!client.connect("rtupdate.wunderground.com", 80)) {
WUresponse = "Connection Failed"; }

client.print("GET /weatherstation/updateweatherstation.php?");
client.print(ID, password, and all the weather data);
client.println("/ HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: host:port\r\nConnection: close\r\n\r\n");

To this:
 #include <ESP8266HTTPClient.h>
 HTTPClient http;
 http.begin("http://rtupdate.wunderground.com/weatherstation/updateweatherstation.php?"; + ID, password, and all the weather data);
 int httpCode = http.GET();
 if(httpCode == HTTP_CODE_OK) {
    String response = http.getString();
   }
  http.end();

So I spent some time on the line with Acurite customer service. They say their devices are fine, nothing wrong with them. They could sswitch mine out for a new one (like that would do anything). So in essence Acurite was not in the least helpful. They simply told me WU changed something and its Wu's problem and not theirs.

So I am unsure what to do. Just return this setup and start over again is one possibility. But I really thought the interface was slick and the setup was good, for the 3 weeks it worked.

Tim, realistically will anything change to get them sync'd again or should I move on to a different solution?
