Personal weather station API access Paid Membership expires in one year?

I have started to rewriting my applications using the New IBM / Weather underground API.  I have a personal weather station and access to an API Key. It seems to work well and is very fast.  However, I just noticed on my login screen I have a paid membership that expires one year from now on 3/30/20.  What happens then?  Will I loos access to my API Key? I hate to do all the work only to be turned off in one year.

In the past, the free subscription is a benefit to PWS owners to allow for ad free access to apps and other normally ad sponsored data and pages.

It has generally been a rolling year or so, give or take a few months.

I am not sure if this will continue, but based on your expiration date it looks like it might.

"Membership" on the WU web site -- which so far as I know only gets you ad-free web use -- has no impact on PWS use or the PWS API.

If PWS uploading gives you an ad-free membership -- I was unaware of that.  Your PWS uploading does confer the benefit of using the API.

End dates on the membership are likely to provide checks on status.  So if you have an API key but your PWS stops uploading, there's a mechanism to turn your key off.  If everything is uploading, it will roll over for another year, I'm guessing.

I'm Guessing?  You are a company rep hired to do a job and you don't have a clue?  I sure hope your name comes up in the next round of company layoffs. They can save another dollar or two as you don't say a damn thing helpful!!

You'll be happy to know, Rip, I am still here.

What I said was exactly correct:  End dates on the membership provide checks on status.  So if you have an API key but your PWS stops uploading, there's a mechanism to turn your key off.  If everything is uploading, it will roll over for another year.

Always happy to have such lovely, tolerant users about.

Oh I didn't expect you to be gone this fast. I expect it will be the next downsizing.  Don't worry they will get you eventually. Of course I won't know when it happens and I really don't care if you took a long walk off a short pier! Just think of me when it happens and maybe I am just a little bit responsible for you getting the Axe. Have fun being a mouthpiece for some uncaring corporate entity. You are just a labor unit to them. That is unless you have some secret info on the boss. Companies today don't give a rats ass bit of care that you are a person you are a cost of doing business. Have a great day and be sure to remember me.  If I even slightly irritated you then I feel exonerated. Your company has a lot of gall telling the people that supply data to you we can't change things. WE the suppliers of data to you may someday soon say screw you I am not gonna share my data with you anymore and drop out of your data stream. Hmm you might be missing a lot of data you people take for granted. Can I keep jabbing you huh huh can I this is fun. The most fun since voting for trump!!!
