Can Weather Underground please remove the per minute call limit. Essentially this is very inconvenient and they are already limiting number of calls per day. If they are worried about scale then move the app to the cloud and use auto-scale in AWS or Azure.
We place limits on calls/min to avoid traffic congestion. It can especially be an issue with history requests. Some clients require millions of calls and we have to create a system that encourages API users to spread the calls out.
Like I said you guys should really look at auto scaling in AWS or Azure to scale as needed so that you could eliminate this kind of artificial request overhead for your customers. Also if you guys are overloaded with requests you should do batch request processing which will help mitigate some of the request overhead you are experiencing. DO WHAT IS BEST FOR YOUR CUSTOMER! AND DON'T PRESUME TO KNOW WHAT THAT IS!
