Purchased Drizzle Plan but still only getting 500 calls per day

We've purchased the 'Drizzle plan' which should allow for 5000 daily calls and 100 calls per minute, but the API key keeps getting shutdown when it exceeds only 10 calls per minute or 500 calls in a day. I've tried contacting support multiple times but have received no response. I've also regenerated the API key but that hasn't helped.

We're using the GoGadget Weather and Weatherforecast Widget wordpress plugin if that makes a difference.

Its probably a case where you are using a feature which is not in your plan. What does the error message say?

We're not getting an error message per se, just a message that the API limit is being exceeded. See one of the emails below:

Your wunderground API key (867133b991a2b368) exceeded its allotted usage today by making 22 calls within a minute but the limit is 10.
This feature_id has been disabled for the remainder of the day: forecast7day.
We check usage for 24-hour periods based on U.S. Eastern Time.

The plan you are registered for is Stratus - Drizzle, granting you 5000 calls per day with 100 calls per minute limit for all of the features in the Stratus package. To upgrade your plan go to: http://www.wunderground.com/weather/a...

Details: exceededrate_forecast7day: maxrate: 22 (of 10)
Time: Wed, Sep 18, 2013 12:50 EDT

It says that we have 100 calls per minute on our plan, yet in that same email says we've exceeded our 10 calls per minute limit.

Please advise, thanks

Thank you for posting the message. The Stratus plan only covers 3 days of forecast, but you are trying to access the 7-10 day forecast. You can either change your plan to Cumulus to access more forecast data, or change your API URL to just use /forecast/ and then it will pull 3 days of forecast. We're working on ways to make that error email less confusing.

Thanks for the response (this is the same person as above).

Is the API URL something we can change on your end in the settings at wunderground.com or is it something that must be changed in our wordpress widget?

I was looking at our widget's code and I see it making a JSON request at this url:
'http://api.wunderground.com/api/'.$wu...';
Do we have to edit that json URL?

I'm not sure how the WordPress code works. You should be passing in your API key, and the location you want the weather display.

Where do we change our API URL to add /forecast/ so that we're only pulling in the 3 day forecast?

Is it added to this type of JSON request: http://api.wunderground.com/api/40f72... or somewhere else?

its added to the URL, so it would be /geolookup/conditions/forecast/q/
