Do we get live streaming updates back and in metric mode decimals for temperature? We we're promised service would get better but if this will not return this would not be the case.

We need decimals for the temperature, otherwise it makes no sense for us to provide you further with weather data. Also I would like to know, is there no further history? On a yearly view or history information we can select manually?
Unfortenutaly the update of the PWS Site goes completely wrong!

It's got very much worse. A few issues:
(a) No real-time charts.
(b) New charts at the top of the page are too big and intrusive. It force the scrolling down to where the "interesting" information is. Particularly painful on a mobile device.
(c) Does not seem to remember celsius settings.
Please just put the old system back! This update has ruined it.

Absolutely right - please if you do updates, then improve the site and do not worsen it.
I spent now 9 years on that site, it was really good till today, but now....
Also the historical Data of the last years, were is it?

Absolutely agree, where is the custom data setting so you can choose historical dates ? It was such a good resource, I recommended WU to a lot of end users with Weather Stations but this update is poor, really poor. Gutted.

Not a fan of the new website either. It's not just that its different, the widgets take up more screen space and I now have to scroll not just on the smartphone but also on the desktop as I generally don't run web pages in full screen mode.
If I could I would disable the widgets for my profile. Look at the pressure widget, you want to see if it's trending up or down or steady instead we get an info icon to click on but how often do you need to review that? I don't have a webcam or UV sensor for my PWS so I'd want to turn that off.
On the map widget I just tired to change the sensor and now all of he values have disappeared. I'm seeing different things on the map for Safari, Chrome and Firefox. Forcing redraws, no map data from openstreetmap but values with chrome. now seeing humidity with safari and temp and wind with firefox. It's really sluggish to update and I have an excellent connection from where I am right now.
At least the graph at the bottom still works but when I click on table I'm seeing "
Invalid Date:undefined Date" on Safari but I do see values on Chrome and Firefox.

Hi
Since a few days the web has changed for the worse, the data that I get from my psw is not coincident with the data of the station, I do not obtain metric measurements, in addition the load of the page is very slow, and in the phone it is not view well.
The temperature has lost the decimals, the atmospheric pressure does not match data with the graph, on the map the data it gives, are not metrical, the wind speed is in miles (unit of measurement that we do not use in Spain).
This change of image on the web has been worse in every way, I want to be able to go back to the old version faster and more reliable.

New website is TERRIBLE. I repeat: TERRIBLE.
Next time you publish an update, be sure to do some proper testing and gather some user feedback before going live.
Put the old system back!!!

What is the problem wunderground? why did you make such an upsetting change in the website? Plus, I have to create another account to complain?

I agree - the new web page for PWS data is very bad at the moment, with multiple problems. I wonder why this isn't thoroughly tested before launching. I'm in New Zealand, so metric, but the weather data is displayed in a mix of metric and imperial units, often without the units displayed either. The temperature is in Celsius for the main display but the map showing location of nearby PWS has their temperatures in Fahrenheit. The temperature plot looks terrible without the first decimal place of data so a lot of interesting information is lost. Let's hope this is just interim teething problems - but they're taking a while to sort out.

Agree with the above, it is more like a beta page than a production one, also where have the forecasts gone??

To add to the above, the indicator needle in the barometer seems to be in a random position that has nothing to do with the actual value, and the grey metric numbers are very hard to read. The rain gauge icon is meaningless - as well as not showing any units, there's no clue as to what the amount of blue in it means - is it rate or total for the day, and is it in reference to a standard scale of light to heavy rainfall? If they offered a paid subscription I don't think they'd get many takers :-) Disappointing lack (i.e. absence) of feedback from them. I imagine they're selling our data to some commercial users for a good price.

Totally agree with our comments... It seems that WU wants to use fewer resources for the PWS and center his works in the new pay API.
There are no real-time data in the PWS station, the oC are really terrible! No decimals in metric it makes no sense to the data, and the new interface, in general, is worse...
I think they have to change a lot of things or people like me will take out the PWS from this website... And I was a real fan of WU!
Thanks,
Marc

what other options are there, for a fairly non-tech savvy person like myself, to upload PWS data to a website and visualise it in real time and access historical data. My browsing around hasn't found any stand-out candidates.

In real time no alternative website service exists. Only other real time solution is your own website but some technical knowledge required but there is plenty of help if you search and ask in wxforum.

Definitely need to add the decimal points to the temperatures, like it was before. Why take that away in the first place????

looks like there is some progress with getting things back to the state they were in before. The web PWS auto updates now, and all units are in metric. Still missing the decimal data for temperature. And the "PWS Current Conditions" section of the display seems pointless - just bigger icons and a barometer with the needle in a random position when metric units are chosen. Hopefully they'll do the final fixes soon. Wish they'd inform us of the changes and the estimated time to make them.

PWS CURRENT CONDITIONS They can ditch this section for my sake. Everything is in the Station Summary section already.
If only they bring back temperature decimals back I would do a rain dance of happiness!

Good night, it seems that it is going back to the origins, (correcting the errors is wise), all more condensed, with the metric measurements, less in the temperature, where if it is very useful to have a decimal digit, follow that path started , to return to leave it as it was a few months ago, (if one thing works well, do not touch), what is also missing is to visualize the annual history of the personal weather station, I hope it returns soon. I appreciate the interest in the arrangement of the web and I hope it lasts a long time, thank you.

Allowing for decimal rather than integer temperatures is coming. I ask for your patience while we work through the changes.

That’s good news. Any chance we will get back the custom option on historical data recall as we had before. Currently it is only day, week and month so getting all of 2018’s data for example means downloading your data month by month. Before you could just enter a date range for all of 2018 ?

Good news - just to add my voice. Thanks! It would be really helpful if these changes and estimated dates of implementation were posted on the webpage itself so we weren't left in the dark about what was happening.
Hopefully with decimals, we'll also get the auto updating working properly on the map and graphs, and an option to hide the individual PWS data icons below the summary. Is there any rationale behind the raingauge icon? It just seems to fill to some random height with blue when it rains - quite meaningless.

Keep in mind that web development/implementation and API development/ implementation are two different teams. I am on the API side, although of course I know the people on the web side, and I often help there.
I will keep adding your suggestions to the lists for each, but I'm not in the loop for web development the way I am for the API.

Given the website makes use of the APIs I am not sure the two are completely separate. If you open the Chrome developer tools you can see the API calls the website is making and what used to be higher precision data is now truncated to ints. Perhaps PWS owners should start to look at doing the rounding before sending the data up. A few lines of Python is all will take to take the station data, round and summarise in 5 minute lots then send it up to WU. It could also then push the complete dataset to another API tool, such as AWS (if IBM's API tool isn't up to the task) where it can be made available again to those who sending it.
I still struggle with the fact that I am sending data up to WU that I can no longer access myself. I know the decimal data is coming but it should never have been hidden from those who are providing it in the first place. Trust was placed in WU to be the custodian of people's data, now it has been made unavailable to them.

One thing I've noticed with the "whole number" issue is that it doesn't seem to even round the number correctly. My weather station is currently showing "9.8" but the website shows "9" and not "10".

Yes. I guess it's just truncating, not rounding. Delving into the APIs and stuff is beyond my abilities. And still we're waiting for the promised decimal place to be reinstated, along with a few other things. And we're left in an information vacuum. Frustrating

I long for the day the decimal point temperature is solved. It took one day to get rid of it, yet weeks to resolve. I'm almost giving up

And, slightly bizarrely, it quotes rainfall in millimetres to 2 decimal places!

It would be very civilized to at least receive a reason for leaving the temperature value without decimals.

how many months later, and still waiting for the decimal place for temperature to be restored. Getting tired of jagged graphs. The graphs used to auto-update too, if I remember rightly. They don't anymore

Yes I was also wondering that.
And I want the old filtering back where you can set a custum beginning and end date for data and graphs, Because now I cannot see what the averages etc where this spring.

It has been three months since I wrote for the last time, asking for the decimal measurements to come back on the web readings. I get the impression that they are leaving us aside, and that our requests do not interest them and that they try to forget the matter, they have had more time than can be given for such a simple arrangement, please the graphics are very ugly and nothing useful. REPAIR IT NOW.

I can believe it. Wish we could get a little insight into what's going on behind the scenes, with expected dates etc. On my "hope for" list is continuous updating of the graph display (without having to refresh the browser) and the option to not display the big icons "PWS current conditions". What about a two-weekly update or something like this. Thanks Victoria

Good morning Now it's something else, now we enjoy the web, now it gives joy. The change as you can see is huge, just by seeing a decimal in the readings, it becomes more serious, THANK YOU.
