PWS:ISRTRNDE35 is "query not found" in API, but OK on web site.

Personal Weather Station ISRTRNDE35 is not returning data in the API. Says it cannot find it (querynotfound). If I use the Weather Underground web site it looks like it is working fine.

Can you correct this issue.

as OP, can you post the URL you're querying?

it seems it was due to a temporarly problem, it wasn't?

My original problem, with pws:ISRTRNDE35, was resolved (or resolved itself) a few days after my post. As a curiosity I left the post up to see if anyone would answer it.

I can only think that "intheairtonight" is having a similar problem with a pws, but forgot to post the actual station name.

Actually, "intheairtonight" might really be referring to pws:ISRTRNDE35.

I went back and looked at my logs for this week and on 1/22 and 1/25 that weather station request was returning "query not found".

our pws is IONTARIO645. It doesn't happen consistently just every once and awhile we get the "query not found" json response from the api when i call from php, but when i double check by calling the api from the browser it's a proper response.

Your IONTARIO645 issue seems slightly different, I think, than this problem. For example, KCOGRAND18 returns a querynotfound in the API, but if you go to this web link you can see that the station does exist.

http://www.wunderground.com/weatherst...

I imagine the reason it is querynotfound is due to it not reporting for the last week or so. In the case of pws:ISRTRNDE35, the data on the www.wunderground.com fine, but on the API always came up as querynotfound.

From your description, it sounds like your PHP script gets a querynotfound calling the API, but you then just call the API again (with a web browser) and it works. That sounds more like a general problem with the API, not a data specific issue.

I wonder if you just waited a few seconds after a querynotfound in your PHP program and then called again, if that next call would work.

I have the same issue with KINBROWN23. I'm already waiting a few days but I still get querynotfound but I always got a good response on the web.

In all of the cases mentioned I'm seeing the same results on the API and website for the stations mentioned in this thread.  The station might not be reporting data at the moment, but searches work correctly when using pwsid: in the query.
