query wunderground.com directly to search for location

I would like to send visitors of my php site to wunderground.com but directly to the weather for a specific city. Using the search form on the top of the wunderground.com home page I noticed that the following example queries are built:

https://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=new%20york+ny

or

https://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=reno+nevada

I would basically have

https://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/findweather/getForecast?query=city+state

(city and state would be generated dynamically)

How reliable is this method of querying. Is anyone of aware of upcoming wunderground.com site structure changes that would possibly break a functionality like this?

Thanks in advance!

In the API results there are usually at "l" with part of a path to help you link to wunderground.com
