Request: Current conditions in hourly forecast format

I am trying to display weather information in a consistent way, but the information provided in the conditions API call do not match up with the information provided in the hourly API call. As a result, information is not available for up to an hour regarding imminent weather trends.

In particular, cloud cover (sky) and overall precipitation chance (pop) are not provided at all in the conditions API result. Precipitation type (condition) may be provided with a different name (weather), though naming consistency is preferred and it may differ from an hourly average. Other users may find other points of data useful, so I am not requesting to add only these items.

I came up with three ways of doing this:

I prefer that current hour data was provided in the hourly API results. This would have the benefit that users would have a consistent interface to determine the range of conditions for the entire 36 hour period. The downside here is that anyone who is not expecting an extra hour to be prepended to this output might show bad results.

Alternately, the current hour forecast could be added as a sub-object to the conditions output. This would have the benefit that the current behavior would be preserved, while providing a means to determine the required information.

Similarly, a new call could be added to get the current hour forecast. This would have the benefit of having the least amount of surprise, though with a higher back-end support cost.
