Same Forecast and Hourly High and Low Temps inconsistent

I've noticed that on some dates the high and low temperatures given by the forecast and hourly data features do not match up with each other, with the forecast data saying the high or low temp will be one value but then the hourly data will have temp values which go outside of this range. From what I have seen it happens quite often too.

Is there a reason for the inconsistency between the sets of data, and which is the more accurate?

For example... For my local area (Coventry, UK) using these URL's (excluding my key of course) /forecast10day/q/UK/Coventry.json and hourly10day/q/UK/Coventry.json, for date 2013-05-01 the forecast says the low temp will be 3C but according to the hourly data the temp will be below this (going down to -1C) between 0200 and 0600.

Cheers,

Steve
