Specific Questions about Meaning of Response Fields

Hi!

Thanks a lot for a terrific service!

I've been able to figure out the meaning of most of the fields in the response JSON for the History API.

My only remaining questions are:

• What are the fields "fog", "hail", "tornado", "rain", "snow", "thunder" measuring? What are their data types, and units of measurement?

• What is the type of measurement for the humidity fields (min, max, & humidity) -- is it relative, absolute, or specific?

• What is the field "precipsource" measuring? What are the units & data type?

• What are the units of the "meanwdire" field? What is the data type?

• What are the units of the "meanwdird" field? What is the data type?

• In the degree days measurements, what are the fields qualified as "normal" meant to indicate?

• For "gdegreedays" what is meant by it being in base 50? Can someone provide an example?

I'd really appreciate any information in support of my questions!

Thanks much!
Ed
