SSL not working with .../cgi-bin/...

When navigating to:
https://www.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/...
it redirects to the non-ssl page with the following error in Chrome's console: "Port error: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist."

However, the login screen does allow SSL: https://www.wunderground.com/login.asp

I'm afraid only the login page supports ssl. The link should go to http instead of https.

Is this something that will be addressed in the future? As I'm sure you know, not having the ability to use SSL can cause mixed content security warnings.

Thanks

It will probably get fixed in the future because once in a while it comes up, but its very expensive to make the SSL work across the whole site. We know it causes mixed security warnings which is why we suggest linking to the http instead of https URL, at least then you won't get the security message.
