I noticed on you home page your map data is coming from a call to stationdata.wunderground.com

e.g.
http://stationdata.wunderground.com/cgi-bin/stationdata?minlat=36.61347509082627&minlon=-120.829...

Is this something that is available for anyone to use? If not, is there an equivalent from api.wunderground.com ?

Thanks

This data is not available via the public APIs and is not legal to be used otherwise.

after some more grepping of the docs, it seems like the equivalent is the nearby_weather_stations API, documented here: https://www.wunderground.com/weather/api/d/docs?d=data/geolookup&MR=1

for readers and wunderground support: I've found that the nearby_weather_stations API is not reliable.  If you query for stations in the center of San Francisco it will only return 15!  If you move the geoloc a bit it will return often > 30...the query algorithm is really messed up as you cannot rely on the density returned :(
