Hi,

Is it possible to get a UV index forcast (or measurement) from the API?

Based on position, country, city or what-ever...?

Yes,

http://api.wunderground.com/api/YOUR_API_KEY/conditions/q/IL/Chicago.json

(your json var)->{'current_observation'}->{'UV'};

Forecasted UVI can be retrieved by requesting "hourly" or "hourly10day", although for these the element is "uvi" and not "UV", and part of a forecast array, not as straightforward as the above example.

Hope that helps!

What is the source and accuracy of the UV index,  it does not match NOAA resources.    Palm Springs shows a 2 and San Francisco and Miami FL a 5 for instance.   NOAA reports differently.
Also how often is it updated?
