Watch Dog Timer reset (stack overflow) ESP8266 Crash for High Temp Forecast

Every time I run the Underground example sketch on my ESP8266-12 (NodeMCU 0.9), I get the high temp forecast and parse the required temperature to be printed out. However, the software Watch Dog Timer is reset and the ESP crashes with a printout of stack memory locations and then reboots the micro controller, and starts the same process over.

Anyone come across this, and was it solvable on the ESP8266 platform?
