WHAT is a CALL of the API?

I got an emai with following message:

"Your wunderground API key (xxxxx) exceeded its allotted usage today by making 18 calls within a minute but the limit is 10"

A look into my apache ́s logfile shows that the page including the wunderground call never was requested more than 5 times per minute.

So how should it be possible that the API was called 18 times/minute?

May it be possible that requesting weather information AND a forecast for 3 days are counted like FOUR calls?

Thanks and best regards

The minute is a 60 second period, though not neccisarily from the beginning of the minute to the end of the minute. It could start at 3 seconds past the minute and go to 3 seconds past the next minute. You could try combining features on the URL to cut down on requests.
