Where does the local 'Feels Like' data come from and is it available in XML format?

Weather Underground airport weather stations appear to be the only stations (at least in my area) that carry some of the key data I am looking for! The PWS's don't seem to have all the parameters.

At this point, as an example, I am trying to combine the current temperature with the 'Feels Like' metric. Using the closest PWS, I am able to extract the current temperature, however looking at the XML file from that station they don't have the 'Feels Like' metric!

Am I correct that when I see the Feels Like value on a weather query for my location (on wunderground.com) that some of the information is coming from the PWS but some is coming from somewhere else (nearby airport?)? Or is there data from the PWS that I am not seeing?

The odd thing is that the "feels like' data showing for my local area is different than that showing at the two closest airports! One is 30 kilometers away, and the other is 60 kilometers away!

So... is there a way to somehow get at the "Feels Like" data that is showing in my local area?

"Feels like" is a calculation of temperature combined with wind and humidity.

We do have it in the API. You can search for current conditions for a PWS near your location, like:

and the reponse should have

  feelslike_string: "59.4 F (15.2 C)",
  feelslike_f: "59.4",
  feelslike_c: "15.2",

When you search for weather of a location on wudnerground.com, it will show you results for the nearest station. You have the option to change the station. There is a dropdown for it.

This should also be available as direct XML as well, correct?

i.e. - http://api.wunderground.com/api/{APIKey}conditions/q/PWS:KCASANFR506.xml
