I am using the wunderground API in my app Beautiful Clock Radio and have it set up to get weather data at 12AM every day. If I have 11 users all using the app at 12AM I will obviously go over this amount, The price for each plan seems incredibly hi 150 a month if i go over 10 a min! Does anyone out there use the API in a similar situation? if so how do you work around this incredibly low number and hi price. i am only making a 1 time sales price of $2 per app. the way it is set up now it will cost me more money than i am making to sell this app.

any info is appreciated.

Thanks Mark

150 a month for 10-day forecast summary. if I go over 10 a min one day a month it will be more than $10 per call!
Again why so expensive?

If you're only requesting once a day, I would recommend adding some random staggering, so that users' requests are evenly spread over an hour (or more).

I have a developer plan and I am getting these usage alerts after only one time of submitting a weather update on my android application.

Your wunderground API key () exceeded its allotted usage today by making 80 calls within a minute but the limit is 10.

I find this hard to believe and is there any way to track these calls.?

You can check the statistics on you account dashboard.

Also, Can you send a note to help@wunderground.com with your API key and email under the account? Someone from the API team should be able to help you out.

I was able to find an utility to capture network traffic on my machine and discovered an overabundance of Http requests coming from my app. I did not find any other statistics in my dashboard other than the Analytics.

How often is this updated?

John Flurkey,

Why don't you please contact support as they suggested, I am  seeing all your communication on this thread. Analytics is what you are looking for.
