Can someone tell me why when I look at yesterdays "meantempi" value at 12:00a.m (start of a new day) it is one value and then check again at 5:00a.m. it's another value? For example: On 05/05/2012 12:00A.M. i check "tempi" for 05/04/2012 and it will give me a value of 62. Then I check again at 05/05/2012 5:00A.M. and it will give me a "meantempi" value for 05/04/2012 of 60.

At the end of each day NWS will update their climate files with the actual observed highs and lows which will affect the averages. Up until they update the climate file, we're showing the high and low observed so far. That's why sometimes the data for yesterday can change depending on time.
